Getting Closer to Spring: Light Showers Possible Monday

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The weekend finally saw the return of above-freezing temperatures, which allowed for some snow-melting to begin.

Monday should continue that as even temperatures in the morning were slightly above freezing.

Cloud cover and a chance for afternoon showers will work against making the forecast fun to be outdoors, however.

A cold front will move through in the afternoon bringing the chance for drizzle and light rain that could transition into flurries or light snow overnight. No significant accumulations are expected.

The front will literally leave us in the cold on Tuesday, with cloudy skies and high winds.

But, by comparison, the end of the week looks quite pleasant with a return to temperatures in the upper 40s and mid 50s.
