(CHILLICOTHE, Mo.,) The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on a pair of recent break-ins, and is continuing to receive complaints about possible phone scams.

The office says a home in the northwest part of the county was broken into during the day last week and an electronic device was stolen from the house.

Another attempted robbery took place in the western part of Livingston County. Residents were home and witnessed a man trying to force his way into a basement door. The suspect fled in a navy blue, early 2000s Ford 4x4 extended cab pickup.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (660) 646-0515.

The office also says it has received more complaints about callers requesting personal information from citizens in the county. Complaints have stated that the callers have become rude, profane and insulting when the call recipients refuse to give information.

The sheriff's office says to hang up when receiving these types of calls.
