Winter Storm Moving Closer

By: Elizabeth McGiffin
Updated: February 25, 2013
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A winter storm warning will be in effect for most of the area from 3 pm Monday - 3 pm Tuesday.
Overnight, clouds will continue to build in.  We'll see a partly cloudy sky as temperatures drop to low to mid 20s.
Tomorrow will start off cloudy as temperatures climb into the mid 30s.  Then, as we work our way into the late afternoon, we introduce a chance for snowfall.
This snowfall will really pick up Monday night and Tuesday morning.  Heaviest snow looks to stay to our south, but still bring 5-9 inches to the area.  This will be paired with blowing snow.  Strong northerly winds gusting between 25-35 mph.
