Ora B. Taylor, 98, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, March 8, 2013 at a local healthcare center.
She was born August 16, 1914 at Cosby, Missouri to Turner and Ida Miller Carrel.
On January 29, 1934 she married Freeman W. Taylor in Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1998.
Mrs. Taylor owned and operated Taylor Alinement Service with her husband retiring in 1978.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her brother, John W. Carrel; sisters, Elsie Veraguth and Florence Morgan.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Meyer (Donnie E.), St. Joseph, Missouri; two grandchildren, Steven E. Meyer (Judith), St. Joseph, Missouri, and Taylor A. Ludlam (Mike), Oak Grove, Missouri; and six great-grandchildren, Megan, Maureen and Jeffrey Meyer, Mitchell, Colton and Nicholas Askew.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Monday, St. Peter Lutheran Church. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
