Norma Lorene (Zeltwanger) Briggs, 94, of St. Joseph, Missouri died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at a local hospital.
Norma was born on August 14, 1918 at Troy, Kansas to Albert and Ruby (Lloyd) Zeltwanger. She worked in healthcare for many years.
She was a member of the Patee Park Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Norma married Harry F. Briggs on August 7, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1966. She was also preceded by her parents, brothers, Edwin and Arthur Zeltwanger, sister, Helen Henry as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Survivors include; brothers; Ernest and William (Nola) Zeltwanger of St.Joseph; sisters; Luella Briggs and Shirley Morris of St. Joseph; Elaine (Bernard) Walter of Wathena, Kansas; Darlene (Robert) Gawatz of Kansas City, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: Tuesday, March 12, 2013 -10:30 A.M. at: Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas. Private burial: Mount Olive Cemetery in Troy, Kansas. Visitation: family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services, 9:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends mall call after 3 pm Monday.
