Mary Joan McBride, 77, Barnard, Missouri died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Maryville, Missouri.
Jo was born February 10, 1936 in Maryville, the daughter of Alva A and Sadie Ellen (Pierson) Hardisty.
She was united in marriage with Darrell Wayne McBride, August 2, 1974 at Conception Junction, Missouri. A homemaker, Jo retired from Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Savannah, Missouri where she had been Housekeeping Supervisor.
Jo was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and St Ann's Alter Society, Conception Junction.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Virginia Shelton, Lela Wilmes and Maxine Wilmes; brothers: Bud and Jack Hardisty and grandson Joshua Diggs.
Survivors include her husband Darrell, of their home in Barnard; a son: James Eugene (Jane) Cowan, Dearborn, Missouri; step-daughter: Darla (Randy) Diggs, St. Joseph, Missouri; step-son: Stewart Corwin, St. Joseph; six grandchildren: Laura and Timothy Cowan; Jessica (Tom) Richards; Jared and Joel Corwin;, Jacob (Amy) Diggs; a great-grandson: Nathaniel Diggs and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A 6 pm Parish Prayer Service is Sunday, March 10th at Price Funeral Home with visitation to follow.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, Missouri
Inurnrment will be in the Barnard American Legion Cemetery, Barnard at a later date.
