Duane H. Geeting, 75, Clarksdale, MO, formerly of Elwood, KS, Wathena, KS and Tuscon, AZ, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Geeting was born June 2, 1935 in West Manchester, OH. He served in the United States Army. Duane married Corinne Joyce Plummer on September 28, 1955. She preceded him in death on March, 4, 2005.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, George S, ad Ruth (Henderson) Geeting; daughter, Darlene Kay Geeting; four brothers, George Jr., Richard, Jackie and Paul Geeting.
Mr. Geeting owned and operated Duane’s Auto Service.
He was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church, Wathena Lodge #64 and the Pony Express Saddle and Bridle Club.
(Survivors:) two sons, Wayne C. Geeting, Wichita, KS and Mark S. Geeting, Elwood, KS; two daughters, Deborah Ann Larison, Amazonia, MO and Lisa Renee Sherman, Wathena, KS; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren; six sisters, Eilene McFadden Gulfport, MS, Mary Ellen Pierce, Ithica, OH, Dottie Jennings, Pauline, SC, Ruth Ann Thompson, Hodges, SC, Iona Sipe, Tucson, AZ and Roberta Russell, CO; brother, Darrell Getting, Asfatual, FL; and brother-in-law, Melvin Plummer, Sidney, NE.
