Gloria Rose Rogers, 85, St. Joseph, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at a local health care center.
Gloria was born November 12, 1924 and grew up in St. Joseph where she was a graduate of the Sacred Heart Academy.
During much of her adult life she was a resident of San Francisco, CA where she owned and managed apartments and condominiums. While living in San Francisco, she was an active volunteer with the pre-school program at St. Dominic’s Church and the Paulist Library at Old St. Mary’s Church in Chinatown. After retiring, she returned to St. Joseph to live.
She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edith (Storm) Rogers; brother, Dr. John T. Rogers; and cousins, Rogers Bailey, Allison Bailey and Ruth Bailey Jones.
(Survivors:) cousins, Peggy O’Mara, Kathryn Theis, Elizabeth Wetzel, Tom Ewers, John Ewers and Mary Francis Pauley.
Services 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Horigan Chapel. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 12:30 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Horigan Chapel. The Family suggests memorial gifts to St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic School.
