Kenneth Lee "Ken" Marshall, 73, St. Joseph, MO

Kenneth Lee "Ken" Marshall, 73, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on March 7, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Ken was the son of Howard and Virginia (Asher) Marshall. He graduated from Gallatin High School and then went on to receive his degree from Culver-Stockton College, as well as serving in the Missouri Army National Guard.
Ken worked in insurance for a number of years before retiring as Vice President of Underwriting at Cameron Mutual Insurance. He was active in many civic affairs, including his work with the Vincil Lodge No. 62 A.F. & A.M., Moila Temple, Omega Shrine Club, and the Omega SandKats.
Ken shared his life-long passion for music by directing choirs and entertaining his family and friends. In 2002, he married the love of his life, Janet Welch. Together they were active members of the Francis Street First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: wife, Janet, of the home; son, Rick Marshall (Laurie), Springdale, Arkansas; daughter, Debbie Parnacott, Lawson, Missouri; brother, Howard Marshall (Martha), Chillicothe, Missouri; two grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; two step-granddaughters; and one step-great-granddaughter.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial contributions be made to either the American Heart Association or to the Francis Street First United Methodist Church.
