Carl F. Miller, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at Carriage Square Health Care Center.
Carl was born on June 8, 1930, in Amazonia, Missouri, to Henry and Grace (Elliott) Miller.
He worked as a business agent for Local #101 Operating Engineers. Carl was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church and a member of Swiss Lodge, Blue Lodge, 33rd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite, and Moila Shrine Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Paul and Clarence Miller and one sister, Ruth Steeby.
Carl married Shirley Anne Bashford on June 21, 1978. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include six daughters, Linda Mulligan, Carla Vienhage (Rick), Peggy Miller, Cindy Clark (Bob), Candy Thompson (Doug) and Martha Brown (Bob); special friends, Susan and Danny Brush and family; two sisters, June Bauer (Bob) and Helen Stoneman (John); sister-in-law, Luetta Miller; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and families.
Mr. Miller has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Memorial Service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Ashland United Methodist Church, St. Joseph, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Inter-Serv.
