Nannie Lorene (Page) Martin, 86, Savannah, Missouri, passed from this life on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at LaVerna Village in Savannah, Missouri.
Nannie was born in Rushville, Missouri on February 9, 1927, to the late Jesse and Jessie May (Browning) Page. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1944 and attended Gard Business School in St. Joseph. Nannie was a homemaker. She had also worked at Household Finance in St. Joseph and at the Home Bank in Savannah. Nannie was a member of the First Christian Church in Savannah and The American Legion Axillary. She married John F. Martin on Aug. 29, 1948 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2007.
Also preceding Nannie in death was an infant daughter, Cindy Diane Martin; brothers, William E. and Jesse L. Page; and sister, Nellie M. Dilla. She is survived by one son, John (Shelly) Martin of Savannah; two sisters, Mary (Junior) Kuhnert of Atchison, KS, and Elizabeth Frakes of Rushville, Missouri; one grandson, Aaron Martin (Sarah Sherlock) of Savannah; and one great grandson, Harlan Martin.
Celebration of Life: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Breit Hawkins and Gladden Funeral Home Savannah, Missouri. Public visitation and family receiving hours: 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Interment in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, Missouri.
