Thomas Albert Newton 79, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday February 22, 2013 at his home.
He was born July 17, 1933 in Creston, Iowa son of Bessie & Frank Newton. He graduated from Cental high school, St. Joseph, MO. He retired from Wire Rope after 27 years of service. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of ROC Fellowship Church.
Thomas was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jackie Ebrecht, and Jean Stugenholt, his father, Frank Newton, mother, Bessie Miller, and step-father, Ralph Miller. He is survived by son - Thomas E Newton of Saint Joseph, MO; 2 grandsons Teriq & Trevin Newton.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 12:30 pm at the ROC Church on Sycamore Street. He will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home, and a graveside memorial service will be conducted at the Leavenworth national cemetery at a later date.
