Derrall Wayne Holcomb, 90, St. Joseph, MO

Derrall Wayne Holcomb, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Derrall was born and raised in Osborne County, Kansas, the youngest son of Bertha (Langley) and Leotus Holcomb. He graduated from Luray Kansas High School. As a young man he worked with his dad in carpentry, wheat harvesting and mechanics prior to working as a Dental Lab Technician at Bridwell & Fricke Dental Lab for over 35 years.
He married Willena B. Brandt on April 25, 1953 at First Baptist Church in Troy, Kansas. She survives of the home, after almost 60 years of marriage.
Derrall was a member of the Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church and served as music director for a number of churches in the northwest Missouri area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Wilbur Holcomb, Junia Noyes, Leora Trant, Lois Smith, and 4 siblings that preceded him in their childhood.
Additional surviving family includes daughter, Debra (Robert) Martinez, Grand Island, Nebraska, sons, Ronald (Julie) Holcomb, Fort Myers, Florida; Brian Holcomb, St. Joseph; and Bruce (Cindy) Holcomb, Willard, Missouri; grandchildren, Cynthia Salas-Saldana, Amelia Martinez, Amanda Aguirre, Emily Holcomb, Jacob, Molly, Isaac & Marissa Holcomb, brother, Elmer Holcomb, sister, Bernita Benitz and numerous nieces and nephews.
Derrall will always be remembered as a loving husband and father.
Services 10:00 AM Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church, Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Amazonia, Missouri.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at Noon where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
