Edwin Grover Burnett 81, of Saint Joseph, MO passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at a health care center in Saint Joseph, MO.
He was born March 15, 1929 in DeKalb, MO, son of Hazel and David Burnett. He graduated from high school. He served in the Navy and is a veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Quaker Oats as a Pipefitter retiring after 43 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the cabin on the Nodaway River, and family.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include three sons, Karl Burnett and companion Kelly Cline, of Hiawatha, IA, Darren Burnett of Saint Joseph, MO, son, Jimmy Taysen and wife Anita, grandson, Johnny Burnett, granddaughter, Shelly Taysen of Las Vegas, NV.
Mr. Burnett will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a later date.
