Ruth Williams, 80, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Ruth was born September 25, 1929 to Eugene and Gertrude (Alderin) Kirby in Mercer County, North Dakota. She was a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Nursing. Ruth was a registered nurse, a homemaker and a member of Ashland United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Ward and three sisters, Elizabeth, Ione and Jeannette.
She married James M. Williams on June 20, 1954 in Grand Forks, North Dakota and he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include sons, Pete Williams and his wife, Elizabeth, Lincoln,
Nebraska, Todd Williams and his wife, Barbara, Borger, Texas; five grandchildren,
Ross, Scott, Thomas, Carter, Meryl Williams; sister-in-laws, Virginia Kirby,
Dickinson, North Dakota and Patricia Shoe, Lakewood, Colorado.
Services 11 am, Tuesday Ashland United Methodist Church under the direction
of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive friends at
the Church one hour prior to the service. Inurnment 10 am, Thursday at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Ashland United Methodist Church.
