(WORTH COUNTY, Mo.) Chuck Borey has coached his final game for the Worth County Tigers.

Borey resigned his position last Tuesday in an effort to focus more on his role as assistant principal, he said.

Chris Healy will take over as the next head coach for the Tigers. Healy has served as Borey's assistant for the past six seasons. Mark Fletcher, who served as head coach from 1991-1996 prior to Borey, will serve as an assistant.

Borey spent the last 16 years as head coach of the Tigers after four years as an assistant. He's compiled five 8-Man State Championships in that time.

"It wasn't an easy deicision. It had me tossing and turning some nights," he said. "But, hopefully now I'll be able to reach more kids than just the ones on the football field."
