(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After wrapping up the regular season with an instant classic in Maryville, Northwest and Missouri Western will continue into the postseason with each team hosting in the first round of the playoffs.

Missouri Western (10-1) earned the number 3 seed in Super Region 3 after winning the program's first outright MIAA Title just one day ago against Northwest.

The Griffons will play Minnesota-Duluth at Spratt Stadium Saturday at noon.

The Bulldogs (10-1) are making their 5th straight playoff appearance, including NCAA Division II National Championships in 2008 and 2010.

The Griffs play host in the playoffs for just the second time, and nabbed the team's first 10-win season in 2012.

Northwest (9-2) fell one spot after a 21-20 loss to Western, but still play at home Saturday against Harding.

The Bisons (9-1) are making their first trip to the national playoffs in program history, but are up against the Bearcats who are in the running for a national championship for the 9th consecutive season.

Harding has yet to lose a road game this season.

The winner between Minnesota-Duluth and Missouri Western will play undefeated Henderson State (10-0), the 2nd seed in Super Region 3.

The top seed in the region, Minnesota State (11-0), will host the winner between Harding and Northwest.

Back-to-back playoff wins for Western and Northwest would result in a rematch of week 11 in Maryville.

The schools met in the postseason in 2011, which ended in a 35-29 Bearcat victory.
