(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Missouri Western's annual Fall hall of fame inductions feature a pair of former Griffons whose long-standing records have fallen.

Former running back Tony Williams and former women's basketball player Lisa Hughes are two of five individuals and one team in the Missouri Western Hall of Fame's 2012 class.

Just one week before his induction, Michael Hill broke Williams' all-time rushing record of 3,396 yards in a game against Fort Hays. A mark that stood since Williams wrapped up his career with the Griffs in 1997.

Hughes record stuck a little longer.

She scored 1,750 career points. That record held up for 21 years, but Jessica Koch broke it near the end of the 2011 season. Hughes does still hold the record for most rebounds in a career with 1,002 and field goals made with 691.

Griffon golfer Brice Garnett is also a member of the 2012 class.

Garnett was a 3-time All-American at Missouri Western, and won three MIAA championships.

He is playing on the Buy.com Tour, and was not able to make the induction ceremony.

Former wide receiver Jerris Evans gets the nod after a prolific career at wide receiver.

Evans, a 2001 Western graduate, holds records for most receptions in a game (13 vs. Truman Statein 2001), receptions in a season (73 in 2001), career receptions (200) and career receiving yards (2,928 yards). He's also the only Griffon to ever be named MIAA Offensive MVP.

The only coach in the 2012 class is Bob Alcorn.

Alcorn began his college basketball career at St. Joseph Community College in the early 1950s, and became an assistant coach there in 1957. In 1959, Alcorn was named head coach at SJJC with his best season coming in 1961-62 with a 19-5 record.

The 1993-94 women's basketball team is also inducted. That year, Missouri Western went 29-3 and made its first Elite Eight appearance.
