Man Accused of Attempted Murder Returns to Court in Atchison

The Kansas City, Kansas man charged with attempting to murder a delivery truck driver inAatchison returns to court today. An Atchison County judge appointed a public defender for 23-year-old Marcus Kelley, Jr. Kelley is accused of stabbing 52-year-old William Ehrhardt a dozen times while he unloaded his delivery truck at Ayers Auto Supply in June. Ehrhardt survived the attack. Kelley`s attorney wants to talk to his client before court proceeds. Kelley`s preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 31. He remains in the Atchison County jail on $550,000 bond.
