New Wind Farm

The Midland Empire is targeted for its second wind farm. The 50 megawatt wind farm will be built between Rock Port and Tarkio in Atchison County. It`s expected to generate enough electricity to power 30,000 homes. The 7,000 acre project is part of a collaboration between Wind Capitol Group, John Deere and Missouri Cooperatives. The project is slated to be done by the end of 2007. This all comes six months after construction started on the Bluegrass Wind Farm near King City.
