St. Joseph Museums` Board Gears up for Recruiting

St. Joseph Museums` Board President Jim Lehr says he`ll take his time searching for director Alberto Meloni`s replacement.
Lehr says the museums` staff is equipped to handle any time in between hires.
The board plans to form a search committee made up of board members and local residents to begin the process of a nation-wide search for a new museums director.
Lehr says its an objective task.
"We`re looking for a candidate with degrees, we`re looking for experience, we`re looking for interest in the type of history we have. They develop and lead the staff, they develop the Board of Trustees, they`re in the community continuously," Lehr says.
Lehr says he expects upwards of 100 applicants for the position.
The search committee will whittle them down to interview about five potential directors.
