A St. Joseph retailer signs it`s name on a two-thousand dollar check. The North Belt Wal-mart presented the check today to the Midland Empire Chapter of the American Red Cross. The money will go towards Red Cross relief efforts for Andrew County tornado victims. The Red Cross provided food, shelter and counseling to victims of the storm. Executive Director Kevin Kirby says disaster relief expenses add up and contributions like these are important. "We go in and help first and then we have faith that the community will help us raise money to cover the community of the disaster. With this two-thousand dollars I feel really confident that we`re gonna have enough funds with other folks that will be contributing to cover the cost of the disaster," Kirby said. The Red Cross spent over four-thousand dollars on disaster relief efforts in Andrew County alone.
