Hoods Say They Aren`t Trying to Avoid a Deposition

A response today from the couple some accuse of running to Canada to avoid a deposition in a St. Joseph Museums court case. Linda Hood says the accusation is ridiculous. She says her husband Ed was diagnosed with cancer several weeks before they were to have answered lawyer questions. She says they returned to their home in Victoria, Canada, so Ed could get treatments. The lawyer representing St. Joseph museums members want to see the Hoods` tax records. The Hoods purchased the First Church of Christ Scientist from the museums, along with the Mcdonald Building, the historic Twin Spires and the property known as "Fort Smith". All of the sales were facilitated through the museums` director, Alberto Meloni.
