Winter Weather to Interrupt First Weekend of Spring

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A blast of winter is expected to interrupt the first weekend of spring.

Winter Storm Watch is in effect starting Saturday night, running through Sunday.

According to KQ2's Chief Meteorologist Mike Bracciano, snowfall amounts could range from 3-6 inches for most of the viewing area.



Some areas along the I-70 corridor could see heavier amounts, even up to 12 inches in isolated areas.

The snow is expected to start falling Saturday night and pick up in intensity into Sunday morning.
