He was born December 25, 1918 in Union Star, Missouri to Earl D. and Nora E. (Schildknecht) Taylor.
Norman married Betty Maxine Lukehart of March 12, 1971.
Mr. Taylor was a psychiatric aide for 21 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church and Knights of Phythius.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-grand-daughter, Davi R. Thompson; step-grandsons, Jeremy R. Thompson and Jason M. Thompson.
Survivors: wife; daughter, Carolyn "Sue" Greb (Ray) of Grand Junction, Colorado; son, Mark Allan Taylor (Joyce) of Union Star, Missouri; brother, Wilbur C. Taylor (Lauraine) of Maysville, Missouri; stepsons, Robert D. Thompson (Kathy) of Kansas City, Missouri, Mike Thompson of Gower, Missouri; step-daughter, Judy G. Griffin (Dallas Kretzer) of St. Joseph, Missouri; step-sons, David H. Thompson (Judy) of St. Joseph, Missouri, Ronnie G. Thompson (Jane) of Houston, Texas, Randy A. Thompson (Ramona) Austin, Texas, Joey E. Thompson (Patricia) St. Joseph, Missouri, and Dennis R. Thompson (Krikett) St. Joseph, Missouri; step-daughters, Leveta A. Despain (Fred) St. Joseph, Missouri, and Mona L. Dizney (Randy) Lincoln, Nebraska; step-sons, Richard L. Thompson (Leah) St. Joseph, Missouri and Gary W. Thompson (Kathy) Rosendale, Missouri; step-daughter, Tina M. Sallinger St. Joseph, Missouri; three grandchildren; thirty-four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
