Beverly J. (Root) Sample, 84, Highland, Kansas died Monday, March 18, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born September 10, 1928 to Elmer and Rozella Cornell in Buchanan County, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, George E. and Jerry Root
Survivors: daughters, Gwen Davis (Ted), Jan Root, Patty Root (fianc Tom Moyer), and Lisa Root, Penny Weston (Thad), all of St. Joseph, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M., Wednesday.
