He was born January 2, 1930 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Bertha and Herman Amos. He served in the Army and is a veteran of the Korean War. He worked at FFF Feed Store for 37 years, he also had a lawn ornament business on highway 59, south of St. Joseph and enjoyed the people who visited him. He enjoyed fishing when he was young.
Charles was preceded in death by wife, Connie Evalena Amos, his parents, a son, Dennis Amos, a brother, Alfred Amos Sr., a sister, Betty McCoy. Survivors include a son, Charles Amos Jr. and wife Julie of Saint Joseph, MO, three grandchildren, Jarrod, Joshua & Heather Amos, a great granddaughter, Taylor Morgan Amos and a sister, Connie Lukehart and husband Ed of St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Albert Shirley officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Ashland Cemetery.
