(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) If you find yourself dodging a few extra bumps in the road on your way to work, hold tight.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is working over the next month to make the ride a little smoother.

MoDOT has launched "Missouri Pothole Patrol." The initiative has crews patching potholes statewide from March 18 through April 14.

Drivers can report potholes on state-maintained highways by calling MoDOT, making a report online or through MoDOT's smartphone app.

The month-long effort offers a temporary fix for potholes. Crews will replace the temporary patches with permanent repairs once it gets warmer.
