He was born January 7, 1940 to Cecil and Betty (Browning) Reno in St. Joseph, Missouri, where he attended Holy Rosary and Christian Brothers Schools.
On August 4, 1962, he married Shirley Jean (Short) Rhodd. He retired from Armour & Company in 1983 after twenty-eight years of service.
Raymond was a drummer and singer with several bands. He was also well known in sports, especially in bowling. He was City Champion at one time and became a Pro-bowler in 1992 and was inducted into St. Joseph Bowlers Hall of Fame in 2006.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Theresa Schlup; and brother, Robert Reno.
Survivors include his loving wife; son, James Rhodd (Linda), two daughters, Kimberly Moore and Kristen Reno; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Ramona Gann (Bryan), Carmen Redmond, and Raelena Petrovick; brother, Alex Rainez (Jean)' several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and loved by many.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Parish rosary 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
