Vicki (Barnes) Rosenauer, 64, St. Joseph, MO

Vicki (Barnes) Rosenauer 64, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, walked from our arms into the arms of Jesus at 8:30 PM Friday, March 15, 2013 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
She was born September 10, 1948 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Leatrice and John Barnes. She graduated from Benton High School class of 1966 and St. Joseph Beauty University 1967. She married Sam Kerns in 1968 and from this marriage they had a daughter Kellie. The later divorced and she then married Steve Rosenauer and he has since passed away. Vicki had a career as a hair dresser for 44 years from which she accumulated a multitude of friends. Vicki enjoyed her life to the fullest especially while working in her yard, going to the casinos with her friends, spending time with her family and above all else being with her two grand daughters. They were the light of her life.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leatrice Barnes, and step mother step mother, Elaine Barnes, her grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include her daughter - Kellie Heath of King City, MO; 2 granddaughters - Samantha and Kaylee Heath, of King City. 2 sisters - Gail (Leland) Johnson, and Debby (Albert) Guardado of St. Joseph, MO; brother - Steve Barnes of Rolla, MO; aunt Virginia Neff of St. Joseph, MO; numerous nieces nephews and cousins, her cat Susie, as well as her special friends Shonna and Chandra who remained by her side though out her illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Rupp Funeral Home, with David Mejia officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Leukemia foundation.
