Geneva L. (Quick) Bissing - Hinckle, 88, St. Joseph, MO

She was born February 8, 1925 in Forest City, Missouri, to Jacob C. and Lou Emma (Sinclair) Quick. Geneva graduated in 1943 from Forest City High School. In 1945 she married Robert Bissing. After living in Kansas City for a while they moved to Denver, Clorado. Geneva had a successful 25 year career with Montgomery Ward working as Regional Benefits Manager. Robert preceded her in death in 1974. Geneva loved to travel - touring the western US as well as Canada. Quilting, sewing, knitting, playing the organ and painting were some of her talents. In 1982 she married Richard Hinckle. He preceded her in death in 2006. Geneva will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Eugene; two sisters Eunice Knoerle and Frances Noland. Survivors: sister, Lois Daise; four nieces, Chloe Ann (Larry) Schubert, Gale (Brad) DeShon, Sherri (David) Smith, and Juli Noland; one nephew, Bill (Christina) Peek; one stepson Kevin (Cheryl), Hinckle; three step grandsons, Scott, Sean Hinckle, and Wally Carter. The family would like to thank the staff of Saxton Woods Care Center and Hands of Hope Hospice for their care and support during this time. A memorial celebration of life will be held at 11 am Monday, March 18, 2013 at Gladden - Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Missouri.
