Mary Louise Liechti 84, of Troy, Kansas passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center of St. Joseph, Missouri. Mary was born on February 25, 1929 in Highland, Kansas to Robert & Cecil (Gibson) Simmons. She was a member of the Word Of Life Church, and the Silver Saints both of St. Joseph, Missouri. She was on the Doniphan County Sheltered Workshop Board. Mary was a Homemaker, and devoted most of her life to her handicapped daughter Linda's care.
Mary was formerly married to Don Liechti.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pauline Russell & 2 brothers, Earl & Donnie Simmons.
Survivors: daughters, Linda Liechti of Atchison, Kansa;s Kim Campbell (Ted) of St. Joseph, Missouri; Mary Ann Woodruff (Bob) of Wathena, Kansas; son, Tom Liechti (Lois) of St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Todd Campbell, Tony Campbell (Catherine), Kristy Holler (Jason), Pete Studer (Jennifer), Jenny Christopher (Josh), Angie Schultz (James), Cary Liechti, Leann Liechti, 2 step-grandchildren Matt Woodruff (Kristin), Susan Barton (Aaron); 13 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Louella Golden of Phoenix, Arizona; Judy Ross of Troy, Kansas; Jerri Ruth Davis of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Robert & David Simmons both of Highland, Kansas; Bill Simmons of Troy, Kansas; numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral Service 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas Visitation: 6-8 Sunday evening at the funeral home, where friends may call after 11 A.M.on Sunday.
