(DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo.) An accident involving a tractor trailer at 6:43 A.M. on Monday morning forced the closure of Northbound Interstate 35 in northern Daviess County.

The Missouri Department of Transportation said they closed the interstate from mile marker 54 to mile marker 60.

MODOT asked drivers to use a detour on Highway 69 from exit 54 until exit 61, at which point traffic resumed as normal.

The road closure lasted several hours.
