(SAINT JOSEPH, Mo.) Griffon baseball booked their first home stand of 2013 with their hot streak in tact.

Missouri Western completed a sweep of Northeastern State Sunday with a 10-3 victory, running their current win streak to 14 games. The Griffons (15-3, 10-0) have now hung double digit runs in nine of their last 11 games.

Bubba Dotson opened things Sunday with a solo shot to right field in the first inning. The RiverHawks got it back in the second when David Weber smacked an RBI single to score Manuel Marmol.

Western then opened it up with runs in four of the final five innings. Shawn Egge led the squad with three RBI, while Michael Schulze drove in a pair. Dotson, Spencer Shockley, Grant Fink, Jimmy Smelcer, and Jake Schrader all knocked in one.

Banks Born picked up his second win of the year on the mound, allowing five hits and one earned run while fanning four in seven innings of work.

The Griffons have three days before their next action in Maryville against Northwest on Wednesday.
