Richard "Dick" Mongold, Sr., 77, Gower, Missouri died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at his home.
He was born October 31, 1935 to Ross and Helene Mongold in Maryville, Missouri.
Dick married Charlotte Davis on August 2, 1969. She survives of the home.
He was a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and enjoyed outdoor activities.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; step-parents; son, Mike Mongold; and sister, Madeleine Gillis.
Survivors: wife; son, Rick Mongold (Carmella), Independence, Missouri; daughter, Christina Mongold, Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Linda Christian, Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Laurie Brumfield, Kansas City, Missouri; son, Pat Mongold, Harrisonville, Missouri; son, Steve Utley (Linda), Gower, Missouri; daughter, Debbie Barton (Randy), Gower, Missouri; grandchildren, Jennifer, Samantha, Logan, Sarah, Meg, Amy, Crista, Joshua, Jamie, Stephanie, Lindsey, Travis, and Kelsey; three great-grandchildren; sister, Cindy Wallace (Hugh), Mound City, Missouri; brother, Roger Mongold; brother-in-law, Chuck Gillis; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
