Cameron Girls Earn Berth in Class 3 Championship Game

(COLUMBIA, Mo.) In their first-ever appearance in the Show-Me Showdown, Cameron is on the doorstep of Class 3's top prize.

The Lady Dragons earned a 68-53 victory over St. James to snag a berth in Saturday's State Championship Game. Ashli Lykins led all scorers with a career-high 29 points, while Melia Richardson added 19.

Cameron shot 51 percent from the field and needed only three makes from beyond the arc while holding St. James to just 31 percent.

Cameron will face Lutheran (St. Peter's) on Saturday at 1:20 p.m. in the title game.
