Gladys Deloris Budine 89, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital.
She was born April 2, 1923 in Easton, MO, daughter of Ethel and Norman Burton. She graduated from Gower High School. She married Lloyd on May 17, 1941 and he preceded Gladys in death December 3, 2009. She worked at Mid Buchanan School District as a Cook. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and cross-stitch. Gladys really looked forward to her Sunday afternoon scrabble games and playing cards with her family and friends. She was a Christian.
Gladys was preceded in death by husband, a grandson, Kurt Budine, a great grandson, Preston Budine, four brothers, Raymond, Bill, Harold and Howard Burton, a sister, Winifred Higdon and her parents. Survivors include four daughters, Joyce (Gene) West of Smithville, MO, Deloris Foster of St. Joseph, MO, Janice (Tom) Kinard of Savannah, MO and Martha (Ricky) Todd of Belleview, NE, five sons, Lloyd D. (Barbara) Budine of Faucett, MO, Gary (Darlene) Budine of Forest City, MO, Don Budine of Kansas City, MO, Ron (Cheryl) Budine of Agency, MO and George (Cindy) Budine of Savannah, MO, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, a brother, Gerald Burton of Clarksdale, MO and a sister, Elizabeth Anderson of Kearney, MO.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Frazier Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the American Diabetes Association.
