(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) Dwayne Bowe did not receive the Chiefs' franchise tag at the Monday deadline, but he may have stolen the show with his new contract.
He and punter Dustin Colquitt both received new deals, while Kansas City has tabbed left tackle Branden Albert as their franchise player. The tag gives Albert $9.83 million over one year and protects him from the free agent market.
Bowe inked a five-year deal after leading the Chiefs in receiving the past four seasons.
Colquitt's new contract makes him the highest-paid punter in the NFL with $18.75 million coming his way over five years.
