(KEARNEY, Neb.) Northwest Missouri State snapped a four-game road losing streak Wednesday night with a 71-52 win over Nebraska Kearney.

The Bearcats (13-12, 7-10 MIAA) have put together back-to-back wins for the first time since mid-January.

The Lopers held a one-point lead with 8:27 left in the first half, but Northwest's Tember Schechinger made a lay-up less than a minute later to put Northwest ahead 19-18 and they didn't trail again after that.

Maggie Marnin paced Northwest with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Schechinger added 14 points and six rebounds, while Meridee Scott chipped in with 13 points.

Coming off last Wednesday's 21-point win over Missouri Western, Northwest has put two complete performances together in a row, and hope to continue improving with just one regular season game left.

The Bearcats win over the Griffons locked up a spot in the MIAA Tournament which begins March 5th.
