Charles W. Bunse, 90, Cosby, Missouri died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born July 27, 1922 to Julius Charles and Minnie (Jann) Bunse in Cosby, Missouri.
Charles married Norma E. Reynolds on March 22, 1963. She preceded him in death on October 14, 2003.
Mr. Bunse served in the United States Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was also a farmer and a member of the American Legion Post #359.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Loris Bunse; and brother, John Bunse.
Survivors: son, Roger Bunse (Martha), Cosby, Missouri; daughter, Rita Riley (Steve), Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Zachary, Samuel, and Jerry Bunse and Simon Riley; sister, Minnie Haenni (Jack); brother, Wilbur Bunse (Barbara); eight nieces and nephews; three step-sons, Fred (Janet), Ed (Kathy), and Ted (Kim) Campbell; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 12:00 Noon Wednesday.
