Elmer "Pete" Charles Van Epps, 81, Savannah, Missouri passed from this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was born October 25, 1931 in Robinson, Kansas to Glenn and Bessie (Walters) Van Epps. He worked in sales for Missouri Water and Steam and Winnelson. He loved his family and was an outdoorsman. He was especially fond of fishing in the great outdoors. Pete married Lucille Messick on July 18, 1959 in Amazonia, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife Lucille of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Norma (James) Muff of Denver, Missouri, Theresa (Brian) Ordnung of Savannah, Missouri, and Lisa (Michael) McCallon of Rea, Missouri; two sisters, Dola Wetzel of Portland, Oregon, and Mary Jane Cosillas of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one infant son James LeRoy Van Epps.
Celebration of Life: 2:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2013 at Breit Hawkins and Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Missouri. Interment will be in Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, Missouri. Public visitation and family receiving hours 2 to 4 PM Sunday February 24, 2013 at the Funeral Home.
