Gary L. Eslinger, 65, of Faucett, MO passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Vaughn-Aufranc Funeral Home in Dearborn, MO. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. The family suggests contributions be given to: The American Cancer Society, or Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America. Gary was born December 19, 1947 in St. Joseph, MO to John Ernest and Juanita Kathleen (Goddard) Eslinger. He moved to Faucett at the age of 14, where he's lived most of his life. Gary married Pamela Starr Blacketer on September 14, 1968 in Dearborn, MO. He was owner/operator of Eslinger & Associates insurance agency in Faucett. Gary was a member of the Faucett Baptist Church. He loved to farm and raise cattle. Gary enjoyed riding horses and participated in numerous cattle drives over the years. He also loved his white German Shepherds, Mojo and Diamond, and his Schitzu, Jaz. Most of all, his passion was playing with his granddaughter Aly.
Gary was preceded in death by: his parents; his sister Sharon Soden, and a nephew Johnnie Soden. He is survived by: his wife Pamela, of the home; his son Aaron (Susan) Eslnger of Faucett; his brother Larry Joe (Janet) Eslinger of St. Joseph; his granddaughter Alyssia; and several nieces and nephews.
