UNK Sinks Missouri Western

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Nebraska-Kearney handed Missouri Western its third consecutive loss Saturday 75-70.

The Griffons (9-15, 5-11 MIAA) held up on Military Appreciation Night shooting 51-percent from the floor in their camo uniforms, but the Lopers hit 15 of 33 3-point attempts to outgun Western.

Cedric Clinkscales led Missouri Western with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

Dylan Frantz added 13 points, while Reed Mells chipped in with 10 points and six assists.

Missouri Western now slips one game behind Truman State for the final spot in the MIAA Tournament.

The Griffs close out the season with Fort Hays on Wednesday and Southwest Baptist on Saturday.
