(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) The Chiefs released wide receiver Steve Breaston and tight end Kevin Boss Tuesday after an unproductive 2012 season.

In his first year with Kansas City, Boss caught just three passes for 65 yards before a concussion ended his season in Week 2 at Buffalo.

Breaston was the team's second-leading receiver in 2011 before being a regular on the inactive list this past season. He caught seven passes for 74 yards.

The moves will save the Chiefs nearly $7 million dollars in cash.
