(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Things are rolling on the southside this season.

The Benton girls basketball team is 18-5 overall and cruised to a 7-0 mark in the MEC, good for head coach Brett Goodwin's sixth conference title during his 12 years leading the Cardinals.

Goodwin also picked up his 300th career victory earlier this season.

Now with just one regular season game left (at Staley February 19th), the Cardinals are getting ready to make a charge at the Class 4, District 16 title, a tournament that will take place in Benton's Springer Gymnasium.
