Police Search for Suspect in String of South Side Home Invasions

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.,) St. Joseph police are searching for at least one suspect in a string of home invasions Wednesday morning in the 200 block of Michigan Avenue.

Police say three homes were broken into within 10 minutes of one another.

Homeowners were confronted at all three homes.

Police requested that St. James School be placed on lock down while they search for the suspect. They also said to consider any suspects involved to be armed and dangerous.

Initial reports indicated that a suspect held one homeowner at gunpoint before fleeing on foot.
