Authorities Worried About Stolen Signs

Authorities in Buchanan County want to stop a crime before it has a dangerous consequence.
Emergency management workers say someone is stealing state and county highway signs.
More than 40 signs have been stolen.
Many of them are stop signs.
The signs are disappearing in the eastern part of the county near Highway 36, State Route 31 and Mount Moriah Road.
Authorities believe the person responsible is driving a pick-up truck with a bale sticker mounted on it.
Officials are concerned about the possibility for accidents at intersections where stop signs are missing.
