Anna Canchola, 78, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Carriage Square Health Care Center.
Anna was born in Savannah, Missouri, on April 1, 1934. She attended Lafayette High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Anna was a homemaker and loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren.
Anna married Greg Canchola in 1950, and they celebrated 62 years of marriage. He survives of the home.
She is also survived by 2 sons, Gregory Anthony (Bonnie) Canchola, Englewood, FL; and Christopher Joseph Canchola, St. Joseph, MO; a daughter, Bridgett (Greg) Diederich, St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Adrian Peacock, Lt. Col. Patrick James Canchola, Gabby Diederich and Blaire Diederich, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 p.m.Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery in St. Joseph.
Visitation will begin after 9:00 a.m. Monday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Monday at our chapel, with a Rosary to follow at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Mary Catholic Church.
