(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After two days in a row to start the week breaking high temperature records, frigid air has infiltrated the Midland Empire once again.

St. Joseph saw an official low at zero degrees, with clear skies and calm winds.

Despite sunshine during most of the day, we will likely stay well below freezing all day.

But a warm front is on the way tonight into Saturday, warming temperatures into the upper 30s and lower 40s.

That pattern of warmer air will carry over into next week, ushering in a much more tranquil forecast with highs in the 40s.
