Kevin M. Young, 58, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at his home.
He was born September 23, 1954 to Floyd and Dorothy Young in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Kevin married Cheryl Elliott on July 20, 1974. She survives of the home.
He was a 1972 graduate from Central High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at Missouri Western State University. Kevin proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as a CPA in his own firm, Young and Company, which later merged to become Liechti, Franken and Young.
Kevin was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moila and was a member of the St. Joseph Boat and Yacht Club for 27 years, where he served as Commodore in 1986. He enjoyed boating and working outside. Kevin loved his family very much, especially his bride and three girls. Later in life he also cherished the time he got to spend with his beloved grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: wife; daughters, Tiffany Tryon (Lance), Michele Young (Aaron Hawkins), Kylie Ellis (Bryson); grandsons, Peyton and Tanner Tryon, Braylon Ellis; brothers, Leslie "Butch" Young (Vickie), Steve Young (Denise), Curt Young (Barb); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Parish Rosary 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
